For all those that have been anxiously awaiting the resurrection of the Merry Band of Readers, the time has come. I've decided to use the 7th Grade College Bound Reading List put together by the librarians at Ecker. Some of the books on this list I've read and others I haven't. Most of them are classics mixed in with a good handful of moderns.
We'll be starting with The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Many years have passed since I've read this story. I'm looking forward to re-reading a favorite. Let me know what you think.
For those of you with various time constraints that want to participate I would suggest audiobooks. I know the SLCounty library system has books on tape, CD and electronic downloads. Ask your local librarian which options are available in your area.

So, um....when do I have to read this book by? Sherlock Holmes (grumble, grumble, grumble)...I'll read it.
August 12th with be the day. I will be updating this monthly on the second Sunday of each month.
What do you have against Sherlock Holmes? He's a great guy if a little arrogant.
